Do you have a teen, student or young adult in your life who, though highly capable, seems a little lost right now?

Sometimes your young adult (16-25 years) needs a little help from someone who's not central to their world, a supportive expert to specifically guide and reassure them.

This is a key time of unique growth and change for your teenager or young adult and sitting down with a seasoned coach in order to map out how they would best like to navigate the months and years ahead can give them the clarity they need.

How is this different from therapy? Coaching is different from therapy and that it's not looking to fix any psychological difficulties but to design a life that works for where that young person is currently at. (If you feel therapeutic intervention is needed then please seek this out via your primary care provider.)

However, if your young person is simply overwhelmed, confused, apathetic, closed down or conflicted when it comes to discussions about best moves forward, then a two hour coaching session can unlock all of the magic and maturity that you know is inside them.

These sessions are delivered either online with video or in person.

Some coaches want you to buy extended coaching packages but I find this hinders the client’s sense of excitemnt, agency and  responsibility. My job is to make sure I’m not needed beyond the coaching session (and I’m always available for follow-up questions).

Perhaps this is a particularly turbulent time for for your loved one as they move to a new college or into the workplace, or as they navigate first heartbreaks or the pressures of exams, or maybe there are sensitive changes happening within the family sysytem.

This isn’t about them suddenly upping-sticks and running away with the circus, it’s about ensuring they are working within the values, communities and systems that you as the parent has already cultivated for them.

Judymay Murphy.

Young-Person-Specific Coaching Experience.

I first became known for coaching teenagers as the agongy aunt on a primetime Irish television show with my own weekly segemnt called, Thursday Dilemmas, taking live coaching calls on-air. At that time I was also speaking at many summer schools and self-development programmes for students. I was known at the time as the author of four successfully published books for young people where the coaching was embeded in the novels.

I currently only accept over-16s for private coaching.
